Health and Safety Advisor - Part Time

Are you a HandS Advisor with construction experience in groundworks or drainage? Have you previously worked for a subcontractor as a HandS Advisor? Location: Somerset Rate: £350 per day OUTSIDE IR35 Duration: 7 months + Hours: 7:00am - 4:30pm Start: ASAP A specialist construction contractor is looking for a Part-Time Health and Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a major EV battery gigafactory project in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale construction project, providing hands-on HandS support across the site. There is also potential for the successful candidate to move onto a further 2-year project in Wiltshire following completion. Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day Health and Safety support across the project. Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance checks. Review RAMS and other project documentation. Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and workforce engagement. Support the project team with risk assessments and safe systems of work. Monitor subcontractor compliance and challenge unsafe practices. Support incident reporting and investigations where required. Promote a positive Health and Safety culture across site. Essential Requirements: Minimum 3 years'' construction HandS experience. Experience working on reasonably sized commercial construction projects. Groundworks and/or externals experience, including drainage, paving or landscaping. NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
