Health and Safety Advisor

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join a great company based in the Horsham, West Sussex area. This is an office based Health and Safety advisory role, working closely with the HandS Manager, maintaining practical, compliant safe systems, carrying out risk assessments, inspections and investigations etc.Salary: £45K dependent on expLocation: Horsham, West Sussex. Due to the rural location, own transport requiredHours: 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday Health and Safety Advisor duties:Maintain awareness of relevant UK HandS legislation and best practiceConduct and develop new risk assessments Assist in the development of the risk control systems Carry out and review fire risk assessments for simple buildings and eventsComplete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessmentsDeliver and coordinate HandS inductionsMaintain HandS records and performance data (e.g., inspections, actions, training, incidents)Manage the day to day running of the online accident and incident reporting and recording systemInvestigate accidents and incidents and gather information from investigations carried out Skills and Experience Required:Proven experience working in a similar Health and Safety Advisor type role ideally within the Engineering or Manufacturing sectorExperience conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, inspections and incident investigations with clear written reporting.Experience delivering HandS inductions, toolbox talks and practical training ..... full job details .....
