Health and Safety Advisor Newport with Regional Travel Circa 55,000 + Company Car and Fuel CardIrwin and Colton has been engaged by a high-profile civil engineering and utilities contractor to recruit their new Health and Safety Advisor. The role will focus on helping to ensure the safe delivery of major, long term water utility contracts across the Southwest region. This organisation has an excellent track record of health and safety, and this role is critical to its continued success.Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislationVisiting site and engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquiriesConducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performanceEngaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contactThe successful Health and Safety Advisor candidate will have:Proven experience in a similar role ideally within civil engineering or utilitiesA NEBOSH Certificate, ideally hold or working towards NEBOSH Diploma, and ideally membership of IOSHExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesA strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulationsA UK ..... full job details .....
