Health and Safety AdvisorLocation: East Lothian (with travel across Scotland as required)Job Type: Full-time, PermanentDue to continued growth, our client a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their expanding HSE team on a permanent basis.Working closely with project delivery teams, you will play a key role in supporting, advising, and driving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards across a diverse portfolio of construction sites throughout Scotland.Reporting to senior management, this position combines both technical expertise and administrative oversight to ensure the highest levels of HSE compliance, performance, and continuous improvement are achieved across all projects. Key ResponsibilitiesHSE Management and Planning Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HSE management plans, including Project Management Plans (PMP), Construction Phase Plans (CPP), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assist in the preparation and approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and permit-to-work systems. Safety Leadership and Engagement Deliver and support site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings. Promote behavioural safety initiatives and help cultivate a proactive, positive safety culture.
