Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join Sefton Council''s Risk and Audit Team on a 9 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Provide professional advice and guidance on a wide range of health and safety issues Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews across Council premises and schools Support investigations into incidents, including RIDDOR reports, and recommend improvements Assist in the development and communication of health and safety policies, training, and procedures Monitor incident trends and contribute to performance reports for key committees Support school safety services under the SLA, including review of overseas trips via the EVOLVE system Liaise with enforcement bodies and manage risk around asbestos, legionella, fire, gas, and electrical safety About you: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Certified Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH desirable) Experience in health and safety within large, complex organisations Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Driving licence and access to a vehicle If this role would be of interest to you, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as ..... full job details .....
