Health and Safety Advisor - construction/civil engineering - £50k-£55k+car allowance/benefits - well established construction contractor working on varied projects across the North-West. Key Responsibilities: Developing and Implementing Health and Safety Policies: - Support the Head of HSW, to create, manage and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures that comply with relevant legislation and industry best practices. Training and Education: - Providing training to staff and contractors on health and safety procedures, hazards, and emergency protocols. Risk Assessments: - Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures. - Site Inspections and Audits: - Regularly inspecting construction sites to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and identify areas for improvement. Incident Investigation: - Investigating accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Compliance: - Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations. - Communication and Liaison: - Working with site managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety culture. Data Management: - Maintaining accurate records of health and safety incidents, inspections, and training. - Continuous Improvement: - Identifying areas for improvement in health and safety performance and implementing strategies to address them.
