Health and Safety Advisor

Abatec is assisting their client, a leading civil engineering and water specialist contractor with the recruitment of an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to support the safe delivery of infrastructure and utilities projects across the Welsh Water framework. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all activities are delivered safely, in line with statutory requirements and industry best practice. You will act as a visible and proactive presence on site, providing guidance, coaching, and assurance to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing performance. As Health and Safety Advisor you will: Liaise with site delivery teams to provide advice, support and training on all aspects of health and safety compliance and issues affecting site location Organise, support and contribute to health and safety assurance audits. Conduct and/or support accident and incident investigations. ISO 45001 champion and monitoring and ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 Understand and apply the company s approach to managing Health and Safety risk, driving best-in-class performance. Monitor and review corrective actions to ensure clear, effective improvements.
