May include home working, office working or site visits depending on service demands.LocationMain Office Base:County HallLlandrindod WellsPowysLD1 5LGPayPAYE Rate:£21.13 per hourJob OverviewPowys County Council is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Adviser to provide occupational health and safety support, advice and guidance across council service areas.The role will involve developing policies, procedures and guidance, carrying out audits and inspections, investigating accidents and incidents, producing reports, delivering health and safety training and advising Corporate Directors, Heads of Service and Service Area Managers.The successful candidate must have strong health and safety advisory experience, excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation, and the ability to influence managers and decision-makers across a local authority environment.Important - Please Read CarefullyThis role requires direct experience working in a health and safety environment and providing professional HandS advice.You must hold a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, be a member of IOSH, and hold a current valid driving licence.Candidates without the required HandS advisory experience, NEBOSH ..... full job details .....
