You will deliver elements of the T Level Health, Level 2 BTEC Health & Social Care Certificate and Level 3 Access to HE Health programmes. You don't need any knowledge of T Levels, but it would be helpful. What matters most is your subject knowledge and how you get it across to learners.

  • Acting as a personal tutor, giving pastoral support, tracking progress and attendance
  • Helping to develop the curriculum
  • Supporting learner recruitment through interviews, open days, taster days and parents' evenings
  • Organising trips, visits and work experience, and going with learners when needed

What you'll bring...

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in health, or significant experience in the health and social care sector
  • Experience of teaching, assessing or coaching, ideally on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes
  • GCSE English and maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
  • A Level 5 teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one (funded support is available)
  • Good knowledge of current trends in health and social care, plus a strong commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding
  • Clinical or nursing experience, or a TAQA/assessor or IQA qualification, would be a real plus

You'll have:

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in health or a related subject, and/or considerable experience in the health and social care industry
  • A Level 5 teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
  • A TAQA, assessor or IQA qualification (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, with good time management
  • A caring, supportive approach that puts learners first
  • Confident IT skills and a real team player attitude

What's in it for you...

  • Up to £39,714.22 FTE (pro rata), depending on skills and experience
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Teachers' Pension Scheme or Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Funded teaching qualification and ongoing professional development
  • Free on-site parking, staff recognition schemes, plus financial benefits and discounts
  • A supportive team where you'll see the impact your work has on students' futures
