With strong IT skills, attention to detail and good people skills, the Health and Safety officer will undertake a range of tasks from ensuring ongoing compliance with UK H&S legislation, managing the Company Health and Safety Management System, taking responsibility for site fire safety, facilitating Risk Assessments, supporting occupational health programmes as well as creating documentation. The H&S Officer should possess the following skills and experience: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification). IOSH Membership (minimum of TechIOSH or working towards).
