SLR Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join a growing team within a construction and infrastructure business based in Fareham!

Role:-Health & Safety Coordinator
Location:-Fareham, Hampshire
Salary:37,500 per annum
Hours:-Monday-Friday, 8/9am-4/5pm (flexible start/finishing times)

The Role:
As Health & Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the coordination of health & safety, occupational health, training and PPE requirements across the business. Working closely with managers, employees and external providers, you will help ensure compliance requirements are met, records are maintained, and health & safety processes are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining health & safety documentation, compliance records and databases
  • Coordinating safety inductions, toolbox talks and training activities
  • Supporting internal inspections, audits and corrective actions
  • Managing subcontractor records and compliance documentation
  • Maintaining occupational health records and coordinating assessments
  • Monitoring training requirements, expiry dates and competency records
  • Coordinating PPE stock, equipment checks and safety supplies
  • Providing general administrative support to the Health & Safety function

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience maintaining databases, records or compliance documentation
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with employees, managers and external providers
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • The ability to work independently whilst supporting a wider team

Previous experience within Health & Safety, Compliance, HR or Training Administration would be beneficial, along with knowledge of health & safety legislation or compliance systems. A Health & Safety qualification (or willingness to work towards one) would also be advantageous.
