The Role
Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will provide expert guidance and support to project teams, helping to maintain the highest standards of health and safety across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Ensuring working practices comply with current health and safety legislation.
- Reviewing health and safety documentation, including safe systems of work.
- Supporting the development and implementation of health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Leading health and safety initiatives across projects.
- Assisting with the delivery of health and safety training for managers and employees.
- Conducting regular site inspections to monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Carrying out accident and incident investigations and supporting corrective actions.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH/NCRQ, BSc or MSc in Safety).
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
- Experience conducting accident and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships and influence others.
- Good IT skills.
- A valid CSCS Card.
