An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and visionary Headteacher to lead the opening of a brand-new specialist school in the East Midlands.This new provision, opening in late 2026, will support children and young people aged 5-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and Communication and Interaction needs.With capacity for up to 120 pupils across multiple sites, the school aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.As Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school from its earliest stages. Working closely with central teams and senior leaders, you will:Lead the strategic development of the school, including vision, ethos, and cultureOversee the design and implementation of a bespoke curriculumRecruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff teamEnsure outstanding educational and operational performanceTake responsibility for budget management and resource planningEmbed strong safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworksWe are seeking an inspirational and experienced leader who can demonstrate:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant leadership experienceExperience working within a senior leadership role in a SEND settingA strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislationProven experience in school improvement and quality assuranceExcellent team leadership and stakeholder ..... full job details .....
