Headteacher, Independent Specialist School (Permanent), Birmingham

Brava Education is working with an independent specialist school, within easy reach of Birmingham, Worcester and Redditch, to appoint a permanent Headteacher. The school supports young people with autism and a range of complex needs. It has a strong record and an ambitious plan for its next stage of growth. The new Headteacher will play a central part in shaping what the school becomes. The role This is a hands-on headship for a leader who enjoys being visible in school as well as setting direction. You will: set the vision and culture of the school, and lead its improvement lead the curriculum, with clear pathways for each young person oversee SEND, safeguarding and pastoral provision manage staffing, budget and compliance with the Independent School Standards work with families, local authorities and a wider multidisciplinary team You will have the backing of an experienced regional leadership team and central support for HR, finance and recruitment. About you QTS, with NPQH or equivalent Senior leadership experience in a special school or complex setting Strong knowledge of the Independent School Standards and of safeguarding Experience of leading SEND provision with multidisciplinary teams A clear, evidenced record of school improvement Experience of opening, establishing or growing a school or provision would be a real advantage Terms Full time and permanent.
