Medivet Orrell Park is now recruiting an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join their amazing team on a
full-time
basis.Ran by our Branch Partner Andy, Orrell Park
is a fully equipped practice with 5 consult rooms
and
a spacious reception
with a separate cat/dog waiting area.
The practice also has s
eparate rooms for prep, dental
x-rays
,
kennels
, cat wards
, x-ray, staff room and an office upstairs
!Our lovely team is made up of
5 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, 4 CCAs, and 7 vets. The vets work across both
Medivet
Anfield and Orrell Park.Th
is
role is full time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
8:30am-6:30pm
and
9:30am-7:30pm plus 1 in 8
full weekends at Alder 24 Hour Hospital.There is parking outside the practice and Orrell Park t
rain station is
a
4-minute
walk
awa
y

In this role you will:Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
Deliver patient monitoring and care.
Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
Dispense and check medication.
Deliver professional excellence, implementing and
complying with
all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
Engage,
coach
and develop your team.
Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and ExperiencePrevious
leadership experience is essential
(ideally in a large practice environment)
RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care
Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague
