The 4th-generation independent mixed farmers have 800 acres of land and a 350 Sow, farrow-to-finish pig unit on one site. The arable land is used to produce cereal crops, which are then home-milled and mixed to produce consistently high-quality pig feed, which allows excellent unit performance. They are a small team that works hard and takes pride in the quality they produce. They are looking to hire a Head Pig Stockperson responsible for the pigs'' health and welfare. From assisting farrowing sows to selecting finishing pigs, there is variety and the opportunity to see a job well done all the way through. The pigs are indoors, and all on slatted accommodation apart from the breeding herd, which is kept on solid floors bedded with our own straw.
