Head of Workplace SHEQ

to join our growing

Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ)

division.About the Role

As a senior leader, you’ll provide strategic oversight and assurance across Metroline’s workplace safety, health, environment, and compliance activities. You’ll work closely with our Executive Leadership Team, influencing culture and driving continuous improvement, while ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations across our estate.This role will

Lead and develop a high-performing SHEQ team.Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).Provide assurance on workplace safety, fire, environmental risk, and contractor management.Act as a trusted advisor to the Board and engage with external regulators (HSE, TfL, Fire Service).Champion a

positive, proactive safety culture

across the business.What We’re Looking For

Chartered Member of IOSH (or working towards).Strong experience in CDM, building management, and statutory compliance.Recognised fire qualification or equivalent experience.A proven leader with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders.Track record of implementing SHEQ management systems and driving cultural change.Why Metroline?
