Head of Underwriting Bridging and BTL MortgagesHampshire / HybridUp to £120kWe are working with a Hampshire based lender, who are looking for a Head of Underwriting, to join the growing business.What you''ll deliverHold and exercise a significant personal lending mandate across Bridging and Specialist BTL casesLead the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle for complex, time-critical transactionsEnsure every bridging loan has a robust, credible and verified exit strategyAssess non-standard BTL cases including Ltd Co, HMO, MUFB and Expat structuresLead, develop and mentor a team of underwriters, embedding commercial but prudent decision-makingOwn underwriting performance against SLAs, speed-to-offer and quality metricsAct as a key member of the Credit Committee, presenting complex cases and influencing credit and risk policyBuild strong relationships with brokers, solicitors and valuation partnersChampion strong governance, regulatory compliance and excellent customer outcomes under SMCRWhat you''ll bringWe''re looking for a confident, credible underwriting manager/leader who thrives in a fast-paced specialist lending environment:Proven experience in manual underwriting within Bridging and Specialist BTL lendingDeep expertise in non-standard lending, including complex property and income structuresProven experience operating with delegated lending authorityStrong understanding of FCA regulation across regulated and non-regulated lendingExperience presenting cases to Credit ..... full job details .....
