Head of transport operations

We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Depot Operations to lead a busy logistics and warehouse operation for a growing organisation. This senior role will oversee the day-to-day performance of the depot, ensuring transport and warehouse activities run efficiently, safely, and in line with customer KPIs.Working closely with the Transport Office Supervisor and Warehouse Manager, you will provide strategic direction across depot operations while ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and strong team performance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily depot operations across transport and warehouse functionsEnsure compliance with Operator''s Licence, DVSA regulations, and health and safety standardsDrive operational efficiency and continuous improvementMonitor vehicle productivity, operational costs, and KPI performanceLead, recruit, and develop depot operational teamsManage transport partners and support the implementation of new businessOversee fleet planning and vehicle investment proposalsMaintain stock accuracy, depot security, and facility standardsConduct audits, produce performance reports, and support external compliance auditsRequirementsMinimum 5 years'' experience in a senior depot, logistics, or transport operations roleStrong knowledge of transport legislation and DVSA complianceProven leadership experience managing operational teamsStrong commercial awareness and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)Experience managing FORS ..... full job details .....
