Head of TransportLocation: LutonSalary: 55,000- 70,000An exciting opportunity to join a growing business with an excellent reputation in the market, as Head of Transport, taking ownership of a busy transport operation and playing a key role in its continued growth.With a fleet of approximately 60 trucks, this is an opportunity for an experienced transport professional to lead from the front, develop the team and drive improvements across fleet performance, service delivery, compliance and operational efficiency.The RoleTake overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of the transport operation.Lead, develop and motivate transport managers, planners, drivers and support teams.Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, operator licensing, drivers'' hours, tachographs and vehicle maintenance requirements.Manage fleet utilisation, vehicle availability, route planning and resource allocation.Drive improvements in cost control, productivity, fuel efficiency and overall fleet performance.Monitor KPIs, service levels and customer satisfaction, taking ownership of operational challenges and resolving issues effectively.Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to support business growth and continuous improvement.Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring a culture of accountability and operational excellence.About YouProven experience in a senior ..... full job details .....
