Head of Transport Berkshire

Head of Transport Reporting to the Head of Operations the ideal candidate must be a graduate with at least 5 years'' experience within Transport and Logistics. The ideal candidate must have previously managed a large fleet of at least 130 vehicles and managed a budget of 22 million. Principle Accountabilities: Overall fleet management to include account management of fleet providers. Achievement of the daily/weekly/monthly KPI''s through effective guidance and coaching of transport team managers. Monitoring all investigation activity to understand root cause and make sure that corrective and preventative action has been implemented and solutions identified (or escalated) where necessary. Supporting the control of department resources and costs within agreed finance targets. Monitoring routing and working collaboratively with wider teams to reduce damage and manage costs effectively. Taking an inclusive approach to continuous improvement by reviewing the operation as a whole and making recommendations. Utilising and analysing relevant data from transport and associated systems to identify issues and proactively drive improvements through transport team members. Ensuring transport team managers are leading required change throughout their teams to ensure initiatives are fully implemented and their teams are engaged throughout the process.
