Head of Tendering & Pre-Construction

This role will head up Utility Line’s Tendering and Pre-Construction departments, working on full turnkey electrical projects throughout the UK. In this role you will lead the Tendering and Pre-Construction Teams through the tendering and planning stages of projects, from initial enquiry all the way through to handover at Pre-Construction.Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today. Key ResponsibilitiesTenderingSupport the team with the scope of new project enquiriesSupport the Tendering Manager by providing clear direction, guidance and set expectations for the relevant individual and wider estimating teamEnsure existing leads and outstanding tenders are followed up by the Bid Team and act as support if/when required to make adjustments to win new projectsEnsure that the output of new tenders are always managed in a timely mannerEnsure the timely handover of won projects to the Pre-Construction teamsPre-ConstructionAct as a contact with our customers to handle all escalated issues relating to pre-constructionEnsure that handovers from the Pre-Construction team to the Construction teams are completed on time and in line with client expectationsProvide technical support to Pre-Construction team and others who may requireOverallDeliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefing and correspondenceIdentify and implement performance improvement processesMonthly and ad-hoc reporting on your business functionsForecast project delivery timescales to support operational delivery planningContract Management with Group Contracts TeamWho we are looking for?We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual that’s a great team player but also able to collaborate with others.3+ years of experience working within a similar role for a NERS accredited ICP or DNO/IDNOExperience and knowledge working within a Tendering and Pre-Construction functionExperience in team and workloads managementExcellent technical and commercial knowledge on the delivery of EV infrastructure, grid connection, residential, data center and solar projectsStrong commercial acumenGreat track record of developing and maintaining client relationshipsGood understanding of contracts and contractual terminologyExceptional attention to detail, with a clear focus on accuracy and clarityBenefitsCompetitive SalaryCompany Car or Car AllowanceCompetitive Pension Contributions after qualifying periodMedicash Private HealthcareBonus SchemeDeath in ServiceHybrid/Flexible Working ..... full job details .....
