Responsibilities

Lead all technical aspects of media workflows for Channel 4 News, ensuring seamless, efficient, and high-quality content delivery across broadcast and digital platforms.

Support both newsroom and digital teams with a focus on enabling frictionless sharing of content across locations and teams.

Oversee end-to-end processes including ingest, transfer, transcoding, editing, sharing, and distribution to support the newsroom’s fast-paced operational needs and creative ambitions.

Act as the operational lead for technical workflows within the C4 News business unit, optimising local processes and driving day-to-day delivery excellence.

Collaborate with editorial, production, and technical teams in London, across national and international bureaux, and on deployments to ensure consistency and high standards wherever C4 News operates.

Shape operational approaches and contribute to workflow strategy for C4 News, working in close partnership with ITN’s central Technology department.

Help shape technology strategy, guide the selection and configuration of tools and systems, and ensure operational needs are fully supported and aligned with ITN’s broader technical vision.
