Head of Tax (Director, Global Tax)
to lead its international tax function at a pivotal stage of growth. The business has recently launched one of its first transformative therapies after successful clinical trials leading to full approvals in several countries and has since secured further investment to expand its global pipeline. As Head of Tax, you will oversee the company’s global tax strategy and operations across compliance, planning, reporting, and forecasting. You’ll work closely with finance leadership and external advisors to ensure robust governance while supporting commercial expansion across the US, Europe and other international markets. Lead the global tax function, covering compliance, planning, reporting, and risk management.Oversee UK, US and international corporate tax compliance, including RandD tax credits and indirect taxes.Manage tax reporting under US GAAP (ASC 740) and related disclosures for financial reporting.Support business development, transactions, and restructuring activities from a tax perspective.Oversee transfer pricing documentation and policies across jurisdictions.Manage relationships with external tax advisors and ensure cost-effective delivery of outsourced compliance and advisory services.Monitor legislative developments across relevant markets and assess business impact.Build, develop, and implement tax governance frameworks, processes, and controls.About You
10+ years’ experience in international tax, ideally across both advisory and in-house roles.Qualified ACA/CTA/CPA (or equivalent).Strong knowledge of cross-border tax, transfer pricing, and UK corporate tax; RandD Tax credits experience highly desirable.Experience in Biotech/Pharma or a regulated global sector helpful but not essential.Commercially minded with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.Hands-on, proactive, and resilient – comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.What’s on Offer
