30th September 2025The Head of Tax is a strategic and technical leader responsible for managing and overseeing the Group’s tax affairs, at both a strategic and operational level. This includes compliance, advisory, planning, and risk management across domestic and international jurisdictions. The role demands deep expertise in tax legislation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex tax issues into actionable business strategies.This is an exciting time to join our Renishaw finance team. Tax strategy, planning and advisory
Ensure the Group’s tax strategy is aligned with commercial objectivesOptimise tax efficiency in line with the tax strategy while ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsAs a business that invests heavily in manufacturing and research and development, identify and oversee management of tax incentives relating to these activitiesDevelop an engagement with a primary global tax advisor, and manage an effective and collaborative relationship with this advisor and other external advisorsPartner with the business on development projects and change initiatives, global supply chains, restructuring and MandA, and provide advice and expert guidance generallyCompliance and reporting
Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and payments across the GroupEnsure accurate tax accounting and reporting under IFRSDevelop BEPS Pillar 2 reporting processesManage cooperative relationships with tax authoritiesOperational efficiency
Ensure that transfer pricing across the group is monitored and managed effectivelyOptimise indirect tax processes, working closely with the customs compliance teamManage and/or implement tax technology solutions to streamline complianceContribute to the ongoing implementation of our new global ERP systemCollaborate with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to embed tax efficiency into operationsAdvisory and risk management
Ensure adherence to the Group’s Tax Governance and Control Framework and Senior Accounting Officer requirementsMaintain and further develop tax risk register(s) including AFTE risk assessments, and proactively manage tax risksMaintain robust review processes and internal controlsMonitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the businessSupport our regional Heads of Finance in their roles as Senior Accounting Officer delegatesManage tax audits and resolve disputes effectivelyCommunicate to senior leadership on tax matters and risks in a clear and concise mannerLeadership and team development
Identify, develop and nurture strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the businessLead and coach the Group Tax team to achieve our strategic goals, fostering technical excellence and professional growthSkills and Qualifications
ACA/CTA qualified or equivalentStrong grasp of UK and international tax lawsExcellent communication skillsSolution focussed, with high attention to detailPreferred Experience
