Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Head of Supply Chain.This is a great opportunity with a fantastic business.Job Purpose:The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain function, covering Logistics, Procurement, and Operations Planning. The role ensures that materials, products, and information flow efficiently across the organisation, supporting business objectives, cost optimisation, and excellent service.The role:Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans.Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across logistics, procurement, and planningEstablish and manage KPIs to drive performance, cost efficiency, and service excellence.Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations.Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure service reliability and cost optimisation.Ensure effective inventory control, stock accuracy, and warehouse performance.Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.Build a robust supplier base that supports quality, cost, and sustainability.Implement procurement policies, governance, and performance metrics.Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and production planning processes to ensure accurate forecasting and optimal inventory levels.Skills and Experience required:Proven ..... full job details .....
