Head of Supply Chain and Procurement

Head of Supply Chain and Procurement Location: Barrow-in-Furness Land and Sea Resources are currently recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain and Procurement to join the team in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction across contracting, procurement, logistics and inventory, ensuring the supply chain function delivers strong commercial performance while maintaining robust governance, compliance and risk management. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of an integrated Supply Chain Management strategy aligned with wider business objectives. You will be responsible for developing both short and long-term supply chain plans, driving continuous improvement and introducing innovative approaches and industry best practice to improve operational and commercial performance. A key part of the role will be overseeing contract management and governance across the portfolio. You will ensure appropriate controls, reporting and governance are in place, provide assurance around major contractors, monitor contract performance and manage commercial risks, disputes and claims where required. You will also play a leading role in supplier and contractor due diligence, onboarding and ongoing performance management. You will maintain oversight of supply chain risks, using data and KPIs to monitor supplier performance, identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate intervention where required.
