Head of Service MASH & Youth Justice Service

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Head of Service to lead and manage integrated front-line services across the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) and Youth Justice Service in the London Borough of Havering.

You will play a pivotal role in transformation, ensuring child-centred, responsive, and legally compliant practice across MASH, Youth Offending, Edge of Care, and Early Help.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership of multi-agency safeguarding and youth justice services

• Oversee safeguarding thresholds, MACE, contextual safeguarding, and extra-familial harm

• Drive innovation in early help and edge of care support

• Ensure compliance, quality assurance, and budget management

• Collaborate effectively with police, health, education, and the voluntary sector

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (SWE Registered)

• Proven leadership in safeguarding and youth justice contexts

• In-depth knowledge of statutory frameworks and multi-agency collaboration

• Strong record in service transformation and performance improvement

• Enhanced DBS required
