This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a passionate practitioner to lead a committed department and drive continued improvement across Key Stages 3-5.

Your new role
As Head of Science, you will:

• Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages
• Drive student outcomes through effective curriculum planning, assessment, and intervention strategies
• Support, coach and develop a team of teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
• Contribute to whole-school improvement as a key member of the middle leadership team
• Promote a passion for science through an engaging and inclusive curriculum

What you''ll need to succeed
We are looking for:

• A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge across Science
• Proven experience of teaching Science to GCSE (A Level experience desirable)
• Previous leadership experience or a readiness to step into a leadership role
• A track record of improving outcomes and delivering high-quality teaching
• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
