The successful candidate will have significant local authority experience, a strong background in education and detailed knowledge of school admissions legislation, statutory guidance and processes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Schools Admissions Service, ensuring an efficient, high-quality and customer-focused service. Ensure compliance with statutory admissions requirements, legislation and guidance. Develop and review admissions policies, procedures and service standards. Provide expert advice to senior leaders, elected members, schools, academy trusts and other partners. Lead, motivate and develop the admissions team. Manage complex admissions cases, appeals and in-year admissions. Monitor performance and deliver continuous service improvement.
