Head of Product Development and Engineering

Lead innovation, shape strategy and bring complex medical technology products to market. We re looking for an experienced engineering leader to take ownership of the full product lifecycle from concept and development through to launch, ongoing engineering support and end-of-life. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you ll lead our RandD function, shape product strategy and ensure our product portfolio remains innovative, compliant and commercially successful. What you ll do Lead the product development roadmap from early feasibility through to launch and ongoing lifecycle support. Manage complex RandD projects, balancing technical excellence, regulatory compliance, timelines and budgets. Provide strategic direction for engineering support, including product changes, reliability improvements and issue resolution. Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing specialist RandD team. Work closely with quality, operations, technical support and commercial teams to deliver products that meet customer and business needs. Present project progress, technical decisions and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the board. Oversee external partners, consultants and suppliers to ensure quality, cost and delivery expectations are met. Drive continuous improvement across development processes, tools, documentation and regulatory readiness.
