Head of Procurement Hybrid Working £85,000 + benefits Permanent The company Our client is an established, growing advanced engineering and technology business with a strong reputation for engineering quality. Procurement sits at the heart of operations, with a direct line to senior leadership and a real hand in shaping the future of the business. The role You ll lead procurement and supply chain, reporting into the operations leadership. You ll manage a small team of buyers and a planner, own relationships with key manufacturing partners and suppliers, and build a procurement strategy that keeps supply reliable while holding inventory down. What you ll do Lead, coach and develop the procurement and planning team Set and run a rolling procurement and supply chain strategy Manage outsourced manufacturing partners and key suppliers end to end, including agreements and performance Improve demand planning so inventory is lean and availability holds Standardise and streamline procurement processes across the business Work closely with engineering, technical and commercial colleagues on sourcing decisions Keep procurement compliant with regulatory, security and ISO requirements What you ll bring A track record of leading procurement or purchasing teams in high-tech or engineering manufacturing Experience managing outsourced manufacturing or a complex technical supply chain Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, and the energy to improve things in a fast-moving environment ..... full job details .....
