Head of Procurement and Supply Chain

Robert Half is partnering with a leading infrastructure business based near Glasgow to appoint a Head of Procurement and Supply Chain. This is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and delivering a robust, commercial, and value-driven procurement and supply chain function, supporting complex projects across the transport, energy, and utilities sectors.Working closely with Executive Leadership and key stakeholders across the business, this role will play a critical part in enabling safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of large-scale, regulated infrastructure programmes. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership and GovernanceDevelop and deliver a comprehensive procurement and supply chain strategy aligned with overall business objectives.Provide clear leadership, direction, and governance across the procurement and supply chain function.Establish and maintain effective procurement policies, procedures, and controls in line with company, group, and regulatory requirements.Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering insight on procurement strategy, market conditions, risk, and commercial opportunities.Ensure strong governance across tendering, approvals, contract awards, and variation management.Commercial and Project ProcurementLead procurement for high-value, complex infrastructure projects, ensuring early engagement and effective procurement planning.Develop and maintain project procurement schedules, category strategies, and supplier engagement ..... full job details .....
