Head of People & Talent

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Head of People & Talent to lead the people function, supporting the continued growth of this engineering and tech consultancy firm.- The role will be based on the outskirts of Godalming.

Working closely with the leadership team, you will drive HR strategy while delivering practical people solutions that enhance performance, culture and employee engagement.

As Head of People & Talent your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and develop the HR function
• Deliver people strategies aligned to business goals
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning
• Partner with leaders to provide expert HR advice and guidance
• Drive learning, development and performance initiatives
• Enhance employee engagement, wellbeing and culture
• Lead employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management
• Use HR data and analytics to support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and best practice

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (Level 7 desirable)
• Strong HR generalist experience, ideally within technical, engineering or consultancy environments
• Proven experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Organised, proactive and able to operate independently
• Passionate about developing people and creating high-performing workplace cultures
• Excellent communication skills
