Head of Payments

to design, lead, and scale Dwelly’s payments and operational finance function across all Dwelly Brands. This is not just a back-office role — it is a strategic leadership opportunity to shape Dwelly’s fintech vertical.You will own the full payments strategy — from rent collection, reconciliations, and landlord and maintenance providers payouts to building new financial products that enhance Dwelly’s value to tenants, landlords, and contractors. You will transform payments from a support function into a core growth driver for the company by launching Rent Guarantees, Flexi Payments, Zero Deposits, Price decoupling and other fintech initiatives.Who knows, maybe one day we also launch a mortgage-first bank to serve the buy-to-let market?The ideal candidate brings

deep expertise in finance, payment processing and fintech , a proven track record of building high-performing teams, and the ambition to scale a payments operation into a standalone fintech capability.Key Responsibilities

Build and scale Dwelly’s Payments Function: own and scale the payments ecosystem end-to-end (rent collection, reconciliations, deposit management, landlord/contractor payouts).Build and develop partnerships with payment providers, banks and other third parties to drive down transaction costs, increase operational efficiency and improve customer experience.Define a long-term payments vision that reduces friction, increases speed, and delivers world-class customer experience.Build and lead a high-performing Payments team; mentor leaders and create leadership capacity within the function.Establish strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks across all payment flows.Drive innovation by introducing new financial services (e.g., tenant financing, landlord credit products, insurance add-ons) that create new revenue streams

aiming to double our topline per property .Lay the foundations for Dwelly to evolve into a fintech-enabled proptech, with payments at the center of the business model.Cultivate strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, and fintech platforms to expand Dwelly’s capabilities.Position the Payments vertical as a differentiator in the UK rental and property tech market.Product and Process Excellence: Partner with Product Managers to co-design finance flows that are seamless, automated, and scalable.Drive adoption of new features and ensure flawless roll-outs across all Dwelly brands.Establish a structured feedback loop between Payments operations and Product to continuously improve and innovate.Challenge industry norms by rethinking processes to achieve lower costs, faster transactions, and higher client NPS.Qualifications

Experience : 7–10+ years in payments, fintech, or operational finance leadership roles.Demonstrated experience scaling teams and building new business verticals.Strong track record in payments operations, reconciliation, and financial product rollouts.Skills : Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive; able to translate ambition into execution.Outstanding leadership and team-building abilities.Deep analytical and problem-solving skills, with a “get things done” mindset.Skilled at navigating compliance and regulatory requirements in payments/fintech.Preferred Background : Experience in fintech, proptech, or other tech-driven industries with a payments-heavy component.Exposure to scaling payment systems in high-growth or international contexts.Proven ability to balance customer-centricity with operational efficiency.Growth Potential

This role is critical to Dwelly’s future. Beyond leading day-to-day Payments operations, you will be laying the foundation for a dedicated fintech capability within the company. Over the next 2–3 years, the Payments function is expected to grow significantly — both in scope and team size. As Head of Payments, you will have the opportunity to build and manage a larger, multi-disciplinary team and expand Dwelly’s offering through new financial services. Longer term, this position can evolve into leading a standalone payments and fintech unit, making Payments one of the company’s core revenue drivers.Compensation and Benefits
