Head of Operations

The Head of Operations will provide strategic leadership, direction, and hands-on support to both field and depot-based operational teams, ensuring the delivery of agreed business objectives and continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity.This role will be responsible for developing and executing an operational plan that strengthens TPA UK''s safety performance, enhances employee engagement, improves productivity, and raises service standards-ultimately creating additional capacity for sustainable growth.As a key member of the TPA Management Team, the Head of Operations will share accountability for the ongoing success of the business, driving operational excellence while fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.Key Responsibilities

Deliver budgeted profit and the 3-Year Plan through strong operational executionPartner with Supply Chain and Logistics to deliver demand plans effectivelyOversee depots to ensure safety, service, productivity, and continuous improvementEngage and develop colleagues to build capability and retain talentSet clear objectives for all reports, with coaching and support to deliverWork with HR to embed performance management and training across the functionTrack and improve performance using clear KPIs and operational measuresControl costs with Finance, focusing on assets, people, vehicles, and propertyWork with Sales to meet and exceed customer expectations and SLAsBuild strong relationships with key customers at all levelsLead project delivery teams to achieve on-time installs, recoveries, and re-sitesPromote a culture of Health, Safety, and Quality across all operationsEnsure compliance with internal standards and external regulationsManage fleet and assets to optimise availability, cost, and revenueLead operational initiatives that support the Sustainability Transition PlanPropose and integrate acquisitions that align with business growthWhat We''re Looking For

Proven leadership skills: engaging, collaborative, and able to inspire teams to deliver strategy, objectives, and KPIsStrong contributor to senior/divisional management teamsProven extensive experience in senior operational management, ideally in a multi-site, customer focused, regionalised environmentTrack record of improving efficiency, productivity, and customer serviceExperience driving revenue and profit growth with full PandL and asset management accountabilityExcellent relationship-building and influencing skills, internally and externallyCommercially astute, motivated, and a strong team playerHighly organised, proactive, and able to work independentlyStrong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and trendsClear and confident communicator, both written and verbalCommitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality complianceFull UK driving licenceKnowledge of the Hire and Rental/Construction industry - DesirableWhat We Can Offer You
