Head of OperationsOur client, established for almost 30 years and enjoying a turnover of £50m, satisfies its UK customers'' needs from a 40000 sq ft warehouse and fulfilment centre based in County Durham. Providing a range of equipment to both B2B and B2C clients across the construction and DIY sectors they now require a Head of Operations to translate the company''s strategic operational objectives into practical execution as they embark on a major investment to double the capacity of their existing warehouse facilities.You will report into the new leadership team.Your specific responsibilities as Head of Operations will include:The daily running of two 18000 sq ft warehouses and fulfilment operationManaging and developing a team of three warehouse managers and their supervisorsEnsuring dispatch deadlines, stock and order accuracy targets and customer service expectations are metEnsuring inbound, split/rework, storage and outbound functions operate effectivelyCo-ordinating labour and operational resources to meet demandMonitoring warehouse productivity and operational KPIsResolving bottlenecksMaintaining accurate stock movements and stock integrity via the Inventory ControllerSupporting cycle counting and stock investigationOverseeing stock splitting, repackaging and repurposingIdentifying operational efficienciesImplementing SOPsAs Head of Operations you will need:Proven hands-on operations/warehouse experience from a FMCG, Ecommerce, high SKU/high volume ..... full job details .....
