An ''Outstanding'' girls'' school in Harrow is looking for a fantastic permanent, full-time Head of Music to join their Performing Arts department this September. This is a wonderful opportunity to shape the musical direction of the school, lead a talented team, and cultivate students'' musical talents and appreciation for diverse musical forms across all key stages. What you''ll be doing: You''ll be designing and delivering engaging Music lessons, covering a wide range of musical genres, techniques, and historical periods, ensuring high-quality provision. As Head of Music, you will lead, manage, and develop the department, overseeing curriculum design, instrumental programmes, and external collaborations. It''s about encouraging creativity, active listening, and individual expression through performance, composition, and appreciation. You''ll lead and grow various musical ensembles and choirs, contributing significantly to the school''s thriving extra-curricular music programme and performances. What we''re looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Music. Proven experience teaching engaging and effective Music lessons at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
