OverviewAs a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you''ll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

Responsibilities

Turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home building as well as in the gardens and grounds, such as fixing a leaky tap or planting bulbs.

Lead a team and support the General Manager with annual budget planning.

Liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of your team.

About You

The wellbeing of residents is your number one priority; ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs.

Hands-on experience of property maintenance with at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks.

Reliable and flexible with working hours; full UK driving licence; IT literacy; GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
