An established claimant-side law firm is seeking an experienced Public / Administrative Law Solicitor to take on a senior leadership role heading its Public Law team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior solicitor or existing head of department to lead a specialist practice handling complex, high-impact public law work, including judicial review proceedings, education and social care matters, public service challenges, and inquests or inquiries.

The Opportunity

Lead and develop a specialist public law team

Manage complex public law and judicial review cases, including High Court proceedings

Play a key role in the strategic growth of the department

Ensure high standards of compliance and quality, including legal aid requirements

Maintain excellent client care and professional standards

The Ideal Candidate

Substantial experience in public and administrative law

Strong track record in judicial review litigation

Good working knowledge of legal aid funding and compliance

Leadership or supervisory experience, or readiness to step into a leadership role

Confident communicator with a claimant-focused approach
