Head of IT

A well-known and highly prestigious higher education college based in Oxford is looking to recruit a Head of IT on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has either been a previous Head of IT to come in and manage the IT function or someone who is looking to step up into a Head of IT role who has extensive experience across networking, infrastructure, applications, project management and support. We are seeking someone who is "doer" in their approach, importantly coming from a technical background who understands how to provide hands on support/troubleshooting of the network where required.Purpose of the Role The Head of IT is responsible for providing comprehensive IT services to support academics, staff, students, and visitors across the College, while managing the institution''s computer systems and network infrastructure. This role demands adaptability to the rapid evolution of both hardware and software technologies, alongside the growing and diverse needs of the user population.
