About the Role
The Head of IT (Interim) will lead an IT department in the West Midlands on a 12-month contract, paying £580 per day. This full-time role involves steering a complex IT, digital, and data transformation during a period of significant organisational change. You will manage an IT team while influencing non-technical stakeholders on key decisions. The primary objective within the year is to advance transformation across IT and the wider business, focusing on a future operating model that enhances digital capability and IT performance. Strong communication skills are essential for this leadership position.
Network IT is currently recruiting for a Head of IT, to join our client in the West Midlands on a 12 month contract assignment.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced IT leader to join a client undergoing wide scale organisational change, and support our client through what will be a complex IT, Digital and Data transformation.
Our client is looking for an excellent communicator, who can lead an IT department, whilst also balancing the challenge of influencing non-technical stakeholders through key decisions.
This is a day rate contract role, with a goal in the 12 months to drive forwards transformation across IT and the wider business, work on the future operating model to enable digital capability and IT performance.

Status: Inside IR35
Working Practice: 3 to 5 days onsite

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic / operational leadership, and direction for IT, digital and data.
- Line management of 5 IT leadership FTE’s in ICT operations, architecture, applications, infrastructure and service delivery.
- Support the leadership on developing and executing a defined transformation programme, against budget and within set timelines.
- Orchestrate complex organisational change, aligning technology, people, processes and governance.
- Ensure cyber resilience, robust data governance and secure service delivery.
- Manage significant revenue budgets and capital investment aligned to transformation objectives.
- Build and nurture relationships across senior leadership, stakeholders and users within the business.
Key Skills:
- Demonstratable background of operating as an IT leader / Head of IT, within complex transformation programmes.
- Proven experience across both public and private sector environments.
- A background in leading IT departments through complex change, such as Mergers / Acquisitions / Insourcing / Outsourcing / Target Operating Model change.
- Proven capability in orchestrating complex, enterprise-wide change programmes
- Strong commercial, financial and strategic capability
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders, and lead teams, able to translate complex requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
