The Infrastructure team is responsible for operating, maintaining and continuously improving our scalable, robust, secure and performant platform to support both our growing customer base and our engineering organization. Our aim is to enable and empower engineers to self-serve and deliver value to our customers in a fast, safe, and autonomous manner. This role leads the team of infrastructure engineers, to drive innovation in infrastructure processes, focused on operational excellence. Technical Delivery:Develop and implement infrastructure strategies and solutions, including networks, cloud services, databases, and storage systems, ensuring systems are scalable, secure and compliant, efficient, and performantFrom planning and discovery, through to delivery and support - utilizing agile processes and practices. The Infrastructure team has its own ambitious roadmap, but we also collaborate closely with Engineering squads to deliver complex transversal initiatives, and look at how we can constantly improve the developer experience

Operational Excellence:Lead incident response efforts, overseeing the investigation and resolution of infrastructure-related issues, including following up of post-mortem actions and championing this across the business. This person is the lead for our engineering on-call process we have in place across our companyManage budget and resources for infrastructure projects and operational environments, ensuring efficient utilization while staying within budget constraints and leading our cloud cost optimization strategyEnsuring the Platform is available for both customers and engineers, SLAs/SLOs are met, as well as identifying bottlenecks which might impede scaling in the future. This will include implementation of disaster recovery projects

People:Management and growth of engineers through 1:1s, performance reviews and objectives, it is important for all that we are able to deliver work of a high standard, in a sustainable manner, and engineers are able to learn, develop and grow their skills and careerCollaborate closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and business leaders to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs and growth

Technical ExperienceAn expert in modern infrastructure technology with experience in high-availability cloud platforms for SAAS companiesExperience with our specific tech stack is preferredUnderstanding of regulatory frameworks like GDPR, ISO27k etcAn advocate for AI technologies and constantly stays up to date with modern technologiesSolid understanding of networking, storage, security, containerization and orchestrationExperience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, automation), and creation of developer golden paths

Leadership ExperienceTrack record resource planning and roadmap creating experienceExperience managing and growing a distributed engineering team

Professional AttributesStrategic thinking and execution ability, with a strong work ethic and attention to detailStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPragmatic mindset; able to balance technical correctness with business prioritiesTakes initiative, identifies problems, and proactively proposes solutions, and is comfortable making key decisionsPowerful collaborator who works well across departments
