Head of Technology – Contract - £650 per day outside IR35 – Leicester (Hybrid – 2 days a week)Our client is seeking a Head of Technology to shape their long-term Digital, Data and Technology Strategy. This pivotal leadership role involves overseeing IT operations, application development, and major technology projects. You''ll collaborate across departments to drive initiatives and remove barriers to progress.Key Responsibilities

Lead the Technology Strategy development.Define and maintain a future-focused technology roadmap.Provide strategic technical expertise to various stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team and Board.Contribute to cybersecurity and compliance programs (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).Lead business continuity and IT resilience planning.Manage in-house software/application development.Act as a central point for operational and project issues.Advise the executive team and board on technology matters.Provide inclusive leadership to technology teams.Person Specification

Knowledge

Deep understanding of enterprise technology architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and data integration.Knowledge of data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in vendor and contract management.Ability to translate technical concepts into plain language.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.Strategic thinking.Competence in modern development methodologies (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD, API management).Experience

Proven track record in a senior technology leadership role, ideally within a transforming organisationExperience managing IT operations.Leading digital and technology strategies.Experience with business continuity planning and IT resilience.Education
