To achieve this, they deliver barista training both in-custody and in the community, with direct routes into employment in their 12 London coffee shops and roastery. Programme participants are then matched with a caseworker to support their transition from the training room into work. To date they have directly hired over 100 participants and their current known reoffending rate for employed participants is 0%. As a social enterprise, the organisation thinks differently from other specialty coffee companies - they believe profit powers their purpose, and by roasting, serving, and selling exceptional coffee, they are uniquely positioned to help prison leavers start a new chapter.
