Lead the development and delivery of the Council s housing strategy in line with corporate objectives and statutory requirements. Oversee housing operations including homelessness prevention, housing advice, allocations, temporary accommodation, and housing standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant housing legislation, regulatory frameworks, and safeguarding responsibilities. Act as the Council s lead advisor on housing policy, strategy, and service delivery. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial control, value for money, and efficient resource allocation. Drive service improvement, transformation initiatives, and performance management across housing services. Build and maintain strong partnerships with registered providers, developers, voluntary sector organisations, and other stakeholders. Lead, motivate, and develop senior managers and wider housing teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services. Represent the Council at regional meetings, partnerships, and external forums.
