Head of Highways and Transport Location: LondonRate: £700 - £800 Per day Contract: 12 monthsSpencer Clarke Group are working with a public sector organisation in London to appoint an Interim Head of Highways and Transport to lead both the strategic transport agenda and the operational highways and network management function.This is a senior leadership role covering policy and programme delivery alongside highways asset management, inspections, statutory compliance and risk, management of key contracts and frameworks.Responsibilities include:Strategic leadership across transport policy, strategy, LIP management and programme deliverySenior stakeholder management with TfL, members, residents and internal directoratesLeadership of highways maintenance and engineering, asset management and inspectionsNetwork management duties and customer-facing highways service deliveryOversight of statutory compliance, operational risk and emergency response (including winter resilience and flooding)Contract and framework management across highways and associated servicesOversight of S278 agreements and developer liaison to achieve best public realm outcomesManagement of budgets, resources, and service performance improvementAbout you:Senior leadership experience across highways and transport within a local authority or similar environmentStrong grasp of network management, asset management, compliance and riskConfident engaging at senior level with members, exec leadership, TfL and external ..... full job details .....
