Head of Health and Safety/ Compliance

MMP are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Health and Safety / Compliance to lead the organisation''s health, safety and compliance agenda. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the charity remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, statutory obligations and regulatory requirements while fostering a positive culture of safety across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of health, safety and compliance across the organisation. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practice. Develop and implement health and safety strategies, policies and procedures. Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders, managers and colleagues. Present regular compliance and health and safety reports to the Executive Team and Board. Lead on risk management, including general and fire risk assessments. Monitor legislative developments, including building safety and housing sector regulations. Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation. Oversee business continuity and emergency response processes. Manage health and safety training programmes and ensure mandatory training compliance. Essential NEBOSH and/or IOSH qualification. Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice. Knowledge of housing regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
