JOB: Head of Groups Events SECTOR: Hospitality LOCATION: Bournemouth SALARY 35,000 - 40,000 Working for a well respected large hotel in Bournemouth with a variety of function and conference suites you will head up the team of professionals who work with companies to provide residential conferences and seminars. The hotel''s experienced, long-standing team is known for delivering flexible, exceptional service. Role Description We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Head of Groups and Events to join our management team and help to drive our business forward. With some exciting new projects coming up, this is an exciting time to join us on our events journey. As our Head of Groups and Events, you will: Have a proven track record of sales within the hospitality and tourism sector Have a solid understanding of events operations to effectively plan and coordinate Communicate well to ensure all event details are disseminated effectively Be a confident leader to motivate and guide our Groups and Events Coordination Team Work closely with our Revenue Manager to identify opportunities for growth Have solid IT skills to be comfortable working with CRM and hotel back of house systems This role would suit a candidate with a proven track record in events sales and coordination and with excellent communication skills.
