Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

OverviewAre you an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? The Altro Group are looking for a Head of FPandA to join the Finance team. The Group FPandA team are financial business partners to the senior managers within the Altro Floors and Walls and Autoglym divisions and are responsible for preparing tailored financial reporting and analysis including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans.

Responsibilities

Lead the FPandA team of 6 Management accountants.

Provide tailored financial reporting and analysis for the Altro Floors and Walls and Autoglym divisions, including monthly management accounts, performance analysis, annual budgets and 5-year plans.

Act as a financial business partner to senior managers across divisions.

Role detailsThis is a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent, hybrid role (minimum of 3 days a week in our Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire HQ).

Ideal candidateWe are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in FPandA to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will hold a CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance and have demonstrated experience in FPandA within a complex, global commercial environment.

Proven track record in managing and optimising financial planning and reporting systems, preparing detailed management accounts, and conducting tailored business performance analysis across areas such as sales, margins, manufacturing, inventory, and working capital.

Experience with system implementation, such as JDE or similar packages, and complex group financial reporting.

Ability to develop financial models, interpret data, and provide clear, concise insights for decision-making.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage a talented FPandA team, with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving, ensuring deadlines and high-quality delivery.
